Dakota help

Right now I Role around in a. 89 Dakota sport with a 3.9 5 speed  2 wheel drive.  I want to try getting better throttle response and more power out of my motor. While still sticking with the 3.9 v6. I was thinking throttle body spacer and maybe even a cam and aftermarket injectors.  Not sure what else to do I mean I was born in 88 so the 89 Dakota is kind of a classic for me I have always like these 80's trucks  thanks for reading and thanks for the tips
