needs major help figuring out shock length on 2000 sonoma

hello mini truckin world  i was wondering if anyone out there can tell me how to exactly measure front and rear shocks. i have an idea for the front but the rear i know r way to long. i have lowered the back with 3 in blocks and 4 in leaf springs and the front ones just curious if i measure them mount to mount? any help is greatly appreciated.
