A 7.7 in Indonesia? After the 7.2 in Baja? Dang. That's crazy. Have you felt any (wherever you are?) I felt the Baja one on Easter. Strange to see telephone poles swaying. I used to think earthquakes were "fun" until I was a few miles from a MILD one and it scared me speechless. They are scary in a not-fun way, and I can't imagine one of a 7+ magnitude. With unpredictable aftershocks above 5 that keep you tripped out for days?

i felt the baja one in az city. i was lying in my bed and felt like waves in a boat for about 10 seconds. it's the second one i've felt so i knew what was happening. so i jumped online to see where it happened
the first one i felt was about 3 1/2 years ago in mesa az. i was welding something standing flat and the ground moved for about 5 seconds. i kinda freaked and asked my friend if he had felt it. then the guy on the radio said there had been a quake.

We are in tornado season here in Iowa. How does baseball sized hail sound? Monday night it was reported in the Eastern part of the state. We had marble sized hail, enough to cover the lawn - it was coming out of the gutter downspouts like rain water!
If we feel a quake like that then the world will probably be coming to an end!

Bernie, that means you were in bed at like 3:30 - rad!
Baseball sized hail? Marble sized hail? That would be very unusual for Southern California - which is why you need to move here. Still. Exchange it for earthquakes. Do you have any pictures?
