i have a 1st gen s10 i want to fill in the body line just dont know the best way to do it i dont want to fill it with bondo because itll probably crack years later im going to use a mercedes paint color and its expensize any help and suggestions would be great  :

they make a fiberglass resin that is used to mold fiberglass to metal, but it dries harder than bondo and it wont crack. it is also easier to work with cause i think it is self hardening. but im not sure so dont quote me on that. but ive never shaved body lines so thats just my suggestion

cut a strip of steel and weld that baby in...

it's tedious work but you won't have to work about it falling out.
