Relay problems?

Hey guys, I bought an 00 s10 that needed a lot of work a couple months ago and its definitely giving me a run for my money. A couple weeks ago I had a relay burn up so I rewired everything when I hooked up the new one. This morning my compressor wouldn't come on, relay was burnt up again. I went to the store, thankfully found another 5 pin relay and after hooking it up and driving out to my parents, it was burnt up again. Literally within two hours. Right now I have one 400 viair compressor, but it runs pretty often since my a rear bag is leaking and I haven't had enough dough to buy new ones. Any ideas as to why these things keep burning up on me?
