okay, so the copyright on the instructions says 1995, so i'm callin it a 1995 Toyota. anyways... heres what i'm starting with, a 1995 standard cab toyota 1/20th scale with 4x4 fenders and bed sides. no frame or suspension like the nissan in round 2, so that will be all a 1 off job!

okay, so the one off frame in round 2, killed most of my time, so i'm jumpin on that 1st!! here's my start, i found a stock frame to mock my custom frame up with,

next i'm gonna open the doors, a mod i didn't do, fearing the dead line time, so this time around the time consumers 1st, hopefully i make it!!

just a quick update, i've been busy so not much time in on "toyinwityou" but here's the start to some tube work, along with a pic of my failed tube work i had to rip out TWICE now!  i'll get it eventually, i pulled off my 1st full one off frame for the "pavement pounder" near the end of the build, so i'll stay optomistic for now, as this is the 1st task i'm takin on 1st this time!!

here's the start of the scrap yard, hopefully this will be it!

started on the wheel tubs and body work inside the bed.
first pic.... i used a cap from something off one of the wife's makeup something rather that i'm sure to hear about later, but they fit my wheels PERFECT, so i'll take my chances!

got em cut to size to fit the wheels, and bed sides, 1st pic is before i cut it down to fit, next to one that has been finished

here's a shot of both cut down ready to go in

got the tubs in and fit nice and snug

started on mud work on the inner bed walls

some new up dates ... started shaving the corners, man this was hard to do a round corner with flat styrene sheet! but it worked out nice with little bondo work!

bondo'd corner pics wouldn't load, sorry, but here's a shot of the rear cab filled in b4 bondo

got a roll pan made up and put in with its 1st coat of bondo

since i got every thing cut out to lay rocker on wheels, here's a quick teaser of the body mocked up with the wheels hood and smoothy front bumper

well... i figured, since i opened the doors and i would have to cut up the interior tub anyway... i'll just scratch build an interior out of styrene sheet, here's the start...

also, doing a toyota smoothie bumper and got some tube a-arms cut out and ready to go in and finish off the frame
