a guy in a f650 service trucks was passing me. he was going about 50mph, i was going 45mph. he came into my lane and hit the rear wheel and quarter panel, then ran the lugnuts up the side of the car.
it's a $4,000 mistake for him. new door, quarter panel, mirror, rim and tire, alignment, paint, etc.
the good thing is it's a huge company (Empire Machinary) and the insurance is good. i should have it back like new 9-18.
still sucked though. it was scary.

haha, the speed limit was 45, and the motorcycle cops are everywhere around there so i had the cruise set.
pretty much everyone from Empire speeds (not just sayin that cuz they hit me, i have several family members that work for them), time is money, especially with the heavy equipment industry being so slow right now.
i kinda feel bad for the guy that hit me. my neighbor was a foreman for the company and told me they fire you if you cause an accident. and there isn't really anyone hiring for heavy line mechanics... most of the guys i worked with before i retired were recently layed off, as well as managment. sucks bad.
