I have a 1979 Toyota Pickup and I would like to get some detailed information on how bag it. I have always owned lifted full size trucks and now I wanna try out the mini trucks for a change. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated.

the frame and suspension on the toyotas are the same from 79-95 so any tech article for a toyota will work. the only exclusion really is the lower control arms and spindles on the 79-95. a lot of people swap upper and lower control arms, and spindles/hubs from a 84-95 model, which is a bolt on affair. it also allows you to run a drop spindle for the later models since nobody makes one for the 79-83.

a couple things you'll need are:

a torsion truck bracket kit (or make them yourself)

a link setup (3,4,5,6 your choice)

to lay it will need a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" frame "z"

tranny crossmember need s to be modified or a new raised one since they hang too low.

also will need to trim the wheels tubs up front.

that should be a pretty good start!
