Hi, welcome to the site, glad you're here. Yup, I have the same problem with my EDC blowing air lines. This is one of mine, same place as yours probably, right in that first inch or two. That compressor gets HOT. That's okay, but the air out is too hot and blows that air line. It'll keep doing it, every time, I promise! You need steel braid line off that compressor. Even doing a few feet of steel braid, I still blew the line right where it ended. Now I have about 3 feet of steel braid off the EDC. If not, you will continue to blow that line! You'll enjoy this video. We knew the line was going to blow. Why did my truck still hold air? Check valve off that fill line meant I only lost the air that was IN that line, and none from the rest of the system. http://www.minitruckinweb.com/videos/6201346/driving_hopping_blown_air_lines_video/index.html

yes in that video where he blew his line was EXACTLy where i blew mine..right off that push in fitting..so about 3 feet of steel braided line will fix it?...my compressor is wired to a switch...if i am to put the truck where i want it and turn it off well i most likely not blow lines till i can fix it????

You prob won't need quite that much steel braid line - that would definitely fix it - I tend to run a lot of pressure. Notice in the video that the line that blew was AFTER the steel braid off the EDC. Here's another idea - don't leave the compressor on too too long. If the EDC is running and you feel that line, you'll feel it getting warmer and warmer! That's your sign to turn it off. If the compressor's not running, you won't blow that line. And if you run the EDC sparingly, you'll be less likely to blow it. All that's happening is that the line is getting too hot. Fix it ASAP, esp if it keeps happening, and in the meantime, just be careful and aware and run a check valve on that compressor to tank line, so that if it blows, your truck will still hold air. BUT, in that case, don't air down, you can't gainfully pump any more air from your edc to tank at that point! Make sense?

yeah would the steel braided line fix that problem or would it just make it blow farther down the line? and yes it makes sense, how much is a check valve and where do you install them because i want to drive it but dont wanna be stranded in the middle of the night like i was last night and ended up draggin it 2 miles all the way home..thank god for the steel plates welded on the frame.

it would fix it. I am brain freezing on where mine came from, but I DID run into a set that didn't work... with running no water trap, they were rusting, so that might have been partly my fault...and I have the paperwork for my latest one at home... mine is right on the tank, so EDC, line, check valve, tank. Yeah you definitely don't want that!!

sounds like your going to need another compressor now man! What kind of compressor do you run? A york style compressor has its own crankcase, wich means it holds oil like your engine in your truck. You have a dip stick to check your oil,you dont have to run a inline oiler. But about the heat, I havent got my ride going enough to have ran into that yet but anytime you compress air you make heat so just like a turbo or supercharger you need to cool it down some how or run line to handle it like copper or steel. But thats just me brain stormin.

we used hydraulic line to handle both the pressure and the heat the compressor out put line sees also make sure your check valve is located closer to your air tank so your compressor line isnt under consistant pressure it will put less strain on the compressor as well as make the line last longer
