I have a 2001 F-150 Supercrew and I had the air ride kit (if you are referring to the bolt on rear they make) and it was alright for a start.  Not sure if they've made it to have super C's yet, but i hated how i would always bang my axle while driving laid out.  Right now i have the kit but it has been majorly tweaked and body dropped.  I have a four link and have had no problems with it whatsoever.
