V8 S-10's what fuel mileage are you getting

just out of curiousity i was wondering what gas mileage all you guys driving V8 S-10's are getting. im buying a mid 90's S-10 this summer and am planning on dropping a Gm Vortec 5.3L V8 into it. So i was just wondering what mileage i should be expecting out of it. So post yours up. Please include the make and model of the engine and the mileage. also state whether you are using US MPG or CDN MPG.

you said V8 and S10...I was ok with the S10 part but when you added the V8 part..can't quite help ya out with that one

i get around 17 highway, but thats a carb'd v8 with a th350 trans. With the FI 5.3 you should see easily in the 20s
|

ok sweet. i was thinking of also adding a flowmaster exhaust with 3 in pipes, 40 series mufflers, k&n cold air intake and possibly a hypertech e-con tuner. in the end i would like to be getting close to 30 CDN MPG highway. the silverados are rated for 29 cdn mpg with the 5.3 so you think it would be better with a smaller truck.
