i gots me a regular cab 95 ranger with the 7 footer out back. i cant seem to find a custom headliner for it so i am thinkin about making one. i want to put flames on my head liner so what im planning on doin is buyin a new liner and getting some foam cutting flames out of the foam and gluing it to the top and then putting on the liner and gettin all the air pockets out and voila but that sounds to easy is there any thing i should be careful of, im new to the customizing scene so i dont know much about interiors but im good with engines and such., also i cant find a sub enclosure for this truck not even a 12" sub truck box fits this thing and im short so my seat is almost all the way up im like 5'5" any help would be great

well if you are going to do it yourself, might want to get some extra pieces and practice. i have tried a couple of time and didn't seem to difficult for me. As far as the sub box, if you have anyone that can build you one go for it. if not take the measurments from the back of your seat and the back wall. Then measure how far you want it to go from one side to the other. then you could find a universal box on crutchfield. they put the measurments on there for their boxes. I am going to build my own for the same truck. I need to get a headliner since mine didn't have on in it. I am going to do the same as well and rewrap it with a design.

i did my own headliner like that but no flames and it turned out fine just make sure you have a heat gun or really good hair dryer to mold the fabric into the contours and you'll be fine... box build it your self... do some math and figure out how much cubic ft you need for the subs you want to use and how much you have available behind the seat..remember that it's internal vol you need... make it wedged shaped and use lots of liquid nail to seal it up... prefab boxes are rarley worth the money you wast and never fix right..

they make a box for the ranger but it's not worth a damn. what i think would be cool is making one like it that is ported. btw here is a port formula i have used for some time it works good to get those high xmax high spl subs working low.
oh ya as for head liner's if it a x cab you need to take it out when the wind shield or back window is out. and use a heat gun i used a high strength trim adhesive there maybe better out there don't know any ways here is how to use the box formula and the formula it's self.
http://www.ecalc.com/calculator/scientific/ use this calculator at link above
square root key look like a check with a x inside powers of ten key looks like a y to the power of x av =10 lv=30 vb=864
do the this part first av(1.84x10to the power of key looks like y sub x when the calculator does the y to the power of x key it will put some thing that looks like a up side down carrot then hit 8then equal sign.
Then write the answer to all of the above down
Next do vb(lv+.823then hit the square root key put in av then write the answer down
Take the first answer and divided buy the second one
Then take and put in to the calculator .159 square root of the answer of the two this should equal 40.63716007346 hertz for the fb Just remember you can plug any thing you want into av or lv or vb that the plug part Av =a 2 inch by 10 inch wxh or area of vent Lv = length of vent Vb = volume of box
just try to keep the area of the vent less then a 9 :1 just divide like a 10 by 5 inch port in to this 5/5 and how many section of ten you get and 10 /10 and how many section of 5 you get this would equal 1x10inch and one 1x5 inch the 1x5 would pass but the 10x1 would not it to big
here are some other formulas
pie times radius squared radius is half of a circle and this trans forms a round to a square vent real quickly
square root of “a” squared + “b” squared hypotenuse of a triangle and how to find it in inches
Length x width x height Divide lxwxh by 1728 to get cubic feet or even multiply to get cubic inches
Here is were the formula comes from http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=165
