i wana take the fins off of a 57 chevy bel air and mount the fins over my bed. i wana slide the fins over my bed and weld it in place and use bondo to remold the body to make it flush and then i wana use the tailights to the bullet style and fit them into a roll pan and make it flush with the body im just lookin for maybe a few pointers from some of the fabricators in here

that would be sweet in my opinion, you might have to modify the way the upper portion swoops down near the door on the car, to better flow with the squareness of the dime. i would also recommend a butt joint where the panels meet, instead of a lap joint. it would hold up better in the long run, and shouldn't require as much bondo.

what do you think of using a round headlight? i think every car in the fifties used them, so they might go well with the fins. also, the old cars hoods were much narrower than the car itself. maybe you could widen the tops of the fenders, maybe even wider in the front and narrower in the rear, and cut the hood to fit them. i think that would look sweet.
