Triangular vs wishbone

Ok i was pretty set on a triangular set up but now thinking of wish bone so what are the pros and cons and any pics would be nice just need advice and opions

both do the same thing. the wishbone is a good option if you want to keep your tank in the stock location, or if space is at a minimum.

ok cool thanks but another question dose an offset wishbone make much diffrence and what is yalls prefrence out there and why

you mean offset to one side more than the other? it shouldn't matter if the wishbone is offset, but if your tank is on the right then you would probably offset it to the left and vice versa. either way, it's just like a triangulated four link, just tying the two forward pivots into one. if you planning a fuel cell behind the axle then you could mount the forward pivot of the wishbone in the center. pretty much it depends on what you plan on using.

ok man thanks again for all the good info i think im gonna go wish bone but one more question if you have a raised gas tank Xmember could use that for my forwad mounting point

is it an s-10? i have seen kits with a raised gas tank x-member that the wishbone attaches to. as long as it keeps your instant center up near the radiator you should be fine.

na its a 03 ranger not a hole lot made for them but its cool it gives me the chance to really fab some stuff right now im really trying to learn my supension geometry terms bc i have a calculator at http://mysite.verizon.net/triaged/4linkcalcv15html/index.html but i really dont know how to use it so any help would be nice on terms and what needs to be done to keep it in proper geometry.i have slapped a few of my buddies rear ends togather with simple two links and crappy mono leafs so its not my first time but it is my ride this time so i want it done right so any help would be nice

sorry, my computer was acting up when u posted the comment then i forgot to check back. it is when aired out, and as the suspension travels through it range of motion it will stay near the radiator just be pointing up some.
