yo i got a question i hope someone can help me out with when my truck is setting still and no one is in it even the motor just revs up like 500 rpms and then immediattly drops right back off and does this constantly i know that toyotas have some weird sensors so its prolly like a camshaft position sensor or some retarded crap like that but any help will be greatly appreciatted just wondering if anyone else has had this problem ps the truck does have 239,000 miles on it but runs fine other than that.

"His problem is either low coolant level, a bad coolant temp switch in the throttle body, or the idle air adjust screw is allowing too much air past the closed throttle plate.  Basically there is an air “leak” past the throttle body that is intermittent and causes a normal to high rev repetitive cycle.  It is the same problem I had on mine; mine was the coolant temp switch (it is a bi-metal non-actuated cylindrical switch within the throttle body that has two coolant lines going to and coming from it).  I removed the throttle body and put a rubber plug in on the manifold side to keep air from cycling past the throttle plate at idle.  If he needs more info let me know."

I bought a used Toyota with a 109000 mile 22Re engine but the frame is rusted to hell! Is this mileage engine, if true, which is likely, good at least for another 100,000 miles?
