First off, first post. Hello to all.
I don't want to/can't do a full SFBD, and I am too tall for a traditional. SO, what i've come up with...
There is aprrox. 1" between the frame and cab. I'm thinking of raising the floor (either cutting the stock, or making a new flat strip) just around the frame rails. I'm only looking for a 2" body drop. So, I only need to come up through the floor just over an inch. I've spent awhile looking and estimating where the floor would come up, and I can't find anywhere it would run into the seat or anywhere else.
I haven't seen or read about this being done. Why?
Done: Fabricated Bracket W/ Tensioner & Installed York 210. Parts: 9 Gal. Tank 4 3/8 4 1/2 Extreme 250 Valves 1/2 Air Line In Progress: 2" BD Sectioned Over Frame Rails.

kinda sounds like channeling just like the hot rod guys did/do. there is a tech article on the site for channeling a yota, and is actually more common than most think. it's fairly easy, just make sure if your fuel lines run on top of the frame to leave room for them. will 2" be enough for the rocker to touch the ground, or are you trying to keep it up a little? here is the link.

Thanks for the positive reply! I am trying to keep it up a little. Frame height right now is a nasty 9 5/8" and the pinch is 12 1/8". I don't want to be laying/scraping the body if (I will) I do a nice paint job.
I'll take a look at the link, but I beleive I've already studied it. I have an 86 Yota static dropped beyond the torsion bars capabilities back home that was my project truck. I got divorced and left it behind in MN. I've been researching and learning air suspension for a loooong time. Feels good to actually be building a parts list.
