didn't get too much done today
i put in a new bed floor
![]()
i made a rollpan, it was a pain in the butt since the kit is supposed to have the extreme body kit. i used pieces of the body kit to do the corners. also the tailgate bodyline was too high so i cut it down.

i cut the door out and started building the door jambs

the block is a 409 from a 62 bel-air, the pan and valve covers are from a 64 impala 327

i got the strip stryene from my local hobby shop(hobbytown usa), you can order it online from www.scaledreams.com as well. it is pretty cheap, i also got sheets of plastic as well. i wanted the frame to be in scale of what the real thing would be so the main frame material is .080x.125". in real life it would come out to 2x3 1/8" sq. tubing. the control arms are .040" solid round stock, and i used 1/16" brass tubing as the pivots. it is just big enough to slide a pin through. i also bought the brass tubing at the hobby store.

ok, i modified the stock hood and made it into a raised/cowl hood thingy, i don't know how to describe it.

i aquired/made a few new parts. the dash is from a 53 ford f-100, the seats are from a 99 mustang cobra w/headrests removed, and i built the fuel cell from .010 styrene, and the air tank from a random item from the wifes bathroom(a.k.a. tampax gentle glide tampon) hope she don't mind, but i was desperate for round tubing.

this is a dodge d-50 i started like two years ago, as soon as the paint had dried i dropped it and messed it up, i'm thinking about fixing it then finishing it.

i haven't figured it out yet, in the picture the door is just setting there. i have built one set of hinges similar to the real ones, but they were too bulky so i cut them off. when i figure out a low profile design i will post them up.
