Hey everyone, my name is Tyler Brooks, i'm from Vancouver island B.C. Canada. I'm pet. member of Relaxed Atmosphere///. I've been building this 91 Mazda B2200 since 2005. I'm almost done, should be ready for FFF show for its first show.I'll start the build thread from the start of the build.
Ok. I bought the truck on june 16th 2005. I found it in a guys backyard beat to hell. I bought it for $400, they towed it to my house and I started on it right away
I took the maz over to Devins house where we began the suspension work, and the body drop.
after the suspension and body drop was done we moved on to body mods. the first things we did were shave up the rear and sheeted in the bed
the next mod we did was a full sheetmetal engine bay. we used 16 gauge sheet and made a new smooth firewall. tubbed it out for 20's and used trailer fenders for the inners
next thing we did was chop the top. It is a 2 inch chop using all the stock glass (front, sides, and rear) the chop is so suttle, but it makes a noticable change.
we then did suicide doors using hagen hindges and latches
next we got it all together and rolled it outside for the first time and took some pics before we broke it all down for detailling
the first thing i started on was getting the frame detailed and togetherwe shaved up the frame of all its hole and then had it powder coated almond. I also had all the suspension components and steering chrome plated
next came time to build up the motor. it is the stock 2.2, it has been completely rebuilt. i added a weber carb and a pacesetter header. i upgraded to a chrome chevy 350 alternator, and also switch over to a auto transmission. everything as been painted polished or chrome plated.
once i was done with the frame i started on the body,
the color i went with is a ppg 03 dodge viper red
heres a couple pics of the truck after we put the cab on the frame
i just recently got my new set of wheels, the are Budnik Sweepers, 20x8.5 with a 7 inch backspace
and that about where i am with it right at this moment, i am currently just getting all the wiring done and getting the sheet metal back on. just basically puttin it all back together. i'm always working on it so it'll be updated quite often. let me know what ya'll think.
