Go with an engine driven compressor . You'll never run out of air , and have an insane fill time . If i'm thinkin right , your 2 12 gallon tanks would fill in about 2 to 5 minutes or less from 0 to 150 . The only other compressor i can think of that could handle that much volume is an Oasis , but that'd be a huge strain on your electrical system . Besides ,you are already runnin your engine to use your electric compressors , so might as well go EDC .

Well , most of the companies out there have complete kits for the EDC's . If there is a kit for your vehicle , then it is usually just bolt everything up and plumb it .

Duty cycle is a percent of time it can run and usually it is determined for a 10 min period of time Example: 100% duty cycle, means it can run continuously without a cool down period or a "rest" if a compressor is 50% duty cycle that would mean if it ran for 10 min it would need a 10 min cool down

dude two 12 gal tanks? I don't see any advantage to that much air. Half that much is a lot. You'll kill electric compressors with that haha.

i'd go with a pair of DC5000's myself . I am runnin one of those with a 5 gal tank and the refresh rate is about 30 - 55 sec (110 up to 145). It has a 100% duty cycle and i love mine .

I use Viair 480's on all of my trucks I think that it is about the best for the buck!! They are 200 psi compressors so you would use a 165/200 press switch

Well , not to dog on the Viair's because they are great compressors , but i got my DC5000 off of ebay for 169 brand new ,(if iremember the price right) and i love it . I have a 110-145 pressure switch on mine . I tried gettin the max pressure rating for my aluminum tank from FBI , so i could bump up the pressure on my system a bit , but as no surprise i never get a response from them , so i am stuck with 145 max for now . From what i hear , i need to ditch the aluminum 5 gal tank i have for a steel tank .

what are some disadvantages on EDC? I got my first mini and I'll probably catch some grief cause it was already body'd and bagged. I have a HIGH mileage motor and want to put the least amount of strain on it as possible. and my EDC is just not that quick. I have 2 5 gallon tanks would the Viar dual 480's do a good job?
