Hey guys, liking the forum a lot haha. I got a question that I'll probably catch some grief for but hey, take into consideration I know nothing about minitrucks lol.
Ok, so I'm from Canada, pretty North Canada to be more precise. We get some pretty cold/snowy winters here, so my question is.. If I was to winter drive (I know its a bad idea, but the I don't wanna pass the truck up.) an older generation S10 with a 350 and bagged suspension what kind of problems would I run into? Aside from no traction and etc, would the compressor and bags hold out in like -25 to -35? (Worst case scenario that is.) My dad is telling me no, and a buddy whose a heavy duty mechanic is telling me it will be fine. What do you guys and gals think? lol
Thanks in advance, etniesbmx1

you want the honest answer.... ok.. i live in albetra now BUT i did live in ottawa with a bagged truck... anything below -5 your in trouble.. your bags will be fine, your compressors will be fine.. HOWEVER.. when you compress air you get condensation.. (water) and what happens is that little bit of water gets onto your valves and freezes.. cuasing your valves to .. well not work at all.. there is a reason that we all have winter beaters.. and its not all becuase of salt..
if this is your first bagged truck.. stay away from it if you want it to be an all year vehicle..
hope that helped..
you could look into an inline oilers system like the big rigs use for there air brakes... that would solve your problem.. good luck hiding it though..

A really good water trap and keeping the tank drained would help too!!

and a bottle or two of airline antifreeze too . Put it in your tank before winter sets in and ya oughta be good , especially if ya got a good water trap .
