Ok so I'm finally getting a mini but I have no idea where to start suspension wise other than just static dropping it and saving for bags. What all do I need for them? I'm looking to get a Ranger. thanks!

well you have a lot of options, i would recommend buying a air kit(usually includes most everything you need) and a link setup for the rear. try and find a kit that will fit your needs and your budget.

I was lookin' at those on suicidedoors but I have now idea what all the different kinds of links are. You mean the preconstructed ones? cuz I have no idea how to weld.

i checked around but couldn't find much of a bolt on rear for the rangers (lots for s-10's), www.airbagit.com sells an air kit with brackets specific to rangers, but it comes with a 4 link that needs to be welded in.

the later rangers have control arms (97+?), i have an s-10, and i would rather roll a toyota anyday, everybody around where i live has a cool s-10. have you thought about toyotas? they have good suspension geometry and are pretty easy to bag.

that sucks, craigslist for phoenix arizona usually has clean older yotas for under 2 grand. i got my 86 yota for $500 already bagged(crappy job), my 79 for free, and my 95 s-10 for free. i noticed the minitrucks seem to hold their value even when they're all messed up and abused.
