Im building whole new frame. Dont know what motor is going into truck yet. Does power steering have to match motor? thought about just flipping stock parts over to passenger side. any ideas or advice would really help.

seen that i peeked enough intrest for some people to check the topic out, but haven't recieved any replies. if you know a web site with pics or teck on R.H.D, or know where oversees parts can be ordered, it would really get the dawg going. Even if you got some crazy idea that might not even work, I'm open to all ideas.

It is definately a cool idea... I was going to do it to a project Dawg untill I had to get rid of it... Here is the idea I had... First find yourself a Mustang II manual rack and pinion... Find some gears that will mount to your Rack and to your steering shaft... It's gonna take some fabbing but it will work... First turn the rack over so that the mounts are vertical and the rack is backwards. Not sure where you are located, but if you have a dirt track close by find yourself a dirt racing parts house... There you will find a quick steer unit that you should be able to use also instead of gears... it will be a contained unit that stock car drivers use that is full of gears to make it easier to steer for them.. there are usually 3 gears inside the unit, maybe if you take out one gear and figure out how to make the unit turn backwards then you will have your R.S.D.... Either way you do it your steering shaft turns one way and your rack turns the other so you have to make both of them work the way you want them to....I hope this will help you on this journey and I expect to see some pics after you are done... Eather way I just want to know if you do it or not...
