Thanks all for the nice comments. A little history on the roadster I bought the roadster with a roof, static dropped, 15X10 solid aluminium wheels windowless canopy with all the bolt on pink crap you can think of. I had a wall of 12" subs and 2 rockford power 1000 amps Very early 90's LOL! Its been thru a lots of changes over the years but it was offically bagged the first time in 1998. I have been into minitruckin since the mid 80's and always dreamed of a 4wd sheet metal roadster mazda so that what I built even in a great weather state like Oregon. I love the truck and will never part with it. I am building the black one for my wife and for me to drive on those less than sunny days.

how is the engine situation comin' along on the '86?

I am having a 2.2 rebuilt with a 5 speed tramsmission hopefully will be in before the summer is out. I was pushing to have it done by DOA so I could roll up both trucks at one time but since that show got cancelled I not in a big hurry now. I agree the roadster has been around a long time. It has a lot a meaning to me my best friend of 15 years died in his custom Nissan so this is kinda a tribute to him with out him pushing me I would have never gotten this far on my truck or in my life.

Hopefully soon! The guy who is doing it works for me and right now we are so darn busy he has not had a chance to finish it. I should lay him off so he can work on it!LOL
