Hey guys im having issues installing my iva-w205. they hve this safety thing where you cant watch it while driving. I need to tap into the foot brake wire (the one that makes the tail lights turn on when brake is pressed). Any info would be awesome or a link to a wiring diagram. BTW its a 2000 x-cab dime

on a lot of them you just have to ground the e-brake switch but my alpine had a foot brake switch too, sounds like what you have. When I did mine I wired toggle switch to the foot brake wire and then grounded the other side of the toggle switch. You have to prees the brake in then turn the toggle switch on, off, on then let of of the brake and it works. It took me forever to figure out how to by-pass the safty thing but the way I just explained is the only way it will work on my alpine, try it and see if it works on yours

ok Im confused. Some places say that the toggle goes on the ebrake wire off the HU. But the foot pedal still needs to be hooked up to the foot pedal wire off the HU. I just dont know what wire I hook it up to off the pedal itself. Its the one that gives off 12v when the pedal is pushed. I just dont know what color it is. Im basically at the point where I tap into every wire and test it. What a pain in the arse. This HU better be worth it.
