Some important and helpful info that I have heard and experienced myself correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

1. Monoleafing is/can be very unsafe, if that single (mono) spring breaks could be very dangerous, particularly if your driving

2. removing just the helper spring (short one on top) (you should have a total of 3)will only give you about 1/2", removing both I would guess 1 1/2". If you are going to take them apart you'll have to use 2 wrinches top and bottom and muscle or better yet air tools,if none call around and ask what they charge to remove if thats what you decide to do. just removed my back bumper, could not do it by hand, paid $25 at a body shop and if was off in about 10 minutes, 4 rusty bolts that were 26 years old

3. If you want to go lower which it sounds like you do, you'll have to bag your truck, bottom line.

Hope I was some help

So to sum it up I would stick with the blocks and torsions until you decide/are ready to bag it. If you wish it was lower just picture it whens its bag and that should cheer you right up

i would recommend that you don't stack blocks in the back. people do it a lot to lift trucks and the blocks shift

try some drop leafs for the back. or a taller block in the rear, i bought 5" blocks from aim industries for my s-10 and haven't had a problem yet (42,000 miles) they only cost $36 and came with new u-bolts.
