Does the Scion xB count as a mini in your opinion or not? Does it have to be a body-on-frame pickup to have "real" mini cred?  

Not my style, but minitruckers build em, and minitruckers are cool, so I guess the xB can stay...
If it gets real low and is built by a mini trucker, it has cred... so even mom's Taurus can be pimp in the hands of a mini trucker.

Cars, trucks, wagons (you know the ones you played with as kids and still now), golf carts, shopping carts... modify it and it's good.

And what you choose to build is your choice, and if you love it, who cares what others say.

They are not even close to being a mini.  I respect the time and labor that goes into building them, but the vehicles themselves, in my opinion are lame.  

why do people buy xB's?  

i don't get what people see in those things. they look like a box with little wheels, whats so nice about that?

I own a 2005 xB and I love it...you can see it in the link below.  Is it a minitruck...No...But it is a great platform to customize!

I love minitrucks...I just picked up a 93 B2600i Xtra Cab to start on when the xB is finished, and I have owned several since 1990 (Hardbody, Sanoma, Ranger).

I own a 06 xb and a 91 toy p/u(current project)
I bought the xb because i wanted to stay true to the "MINI" namesake i didnt want a midsize p/u that kills my pocket book and my project and by any means is no mini but there trucks so its ok.  just something thats has clean lines , low ,and something compact.Most of all shows were or are combined with sport compacts ,I mean i aint calling no crx a "MINITRUCK" but its a MINI
these compacts are small or MINI version of there predisesor Civic to the accord-tacoma to the tundra-blazer to the Burban they are all in my mind MINI's
Thats whats so cool about seen my small *** p/u smoke a f150 or a blazer railing on some expedition ,WE have the abbility to influence all areas in the automotive industies as long as we dont set up to many barriers on a name!

Thanks...Be on the lookout for BoxRod!  I will be hitting shows on the East Coast and South in 2007.  Now to get the Winter projects done to it!  

I think stock Scions are almost as ugly as yo momma from the factory(jk.... they ain't that bad), but with the proper forethought and labor can be made to look pretty decent. I ain't gonna lie though... Box Rod done did something with that thang of his... kudo's to you dogg.... but yeah I guess they a form of mini... i mean its kind of an SUV isn't it? and it's small... but it's ain't got no frame so I'm completely discombobulated... and what if D-O-G really spellt C-A-T?
