i work in a Honda body shop. it's nice and all b/c Hondas are easy to work on. but that's besides the point i'm getting at. Honda has of course put out the Ridgline which is a kinda cool truck. nice interior w/ lots of features and plenty of room under the back seats to put a huge subwoofer box :-) but what i really wanna know is what people think about the new Honda Element SC. it's definitely a step up from the regular Elements which are, in my opinion, ugly as a butt crack that hasn't been wiped in years. the SC has a nice face lift and looks a lot more agressive. i think it'd look great slammed (can't really think of many vehicles that wouldn't look good slammed). i'd have it in black or charcoal and tuck deep dish 20s or higher. the interior is easy to take apart and you can easily chop it up to do any possible needed mods to fit things up deeper. i'm looking forward to seeing where this topic goes

and apparently it's going nowhere so far. haha, oh well. i guess no one is really interested in the new Element SC. can't say i don't blame 'em. at the end of the day, it's still an Element

i do collision repair. well, i'm still an apprentice. so i don't do any of the frame repair or straightening dents and stuff like that. i just take doors apart and remove and install bumpers, fenders, and new doors. collision repair really sucks. i'm trying to get out of it and into car audio. i'm a whole lot more interested in car audio and installing body kits and stuff like that. as far as Elements vs xBs go, the xB is almost half the price of the Element. both are funny looking cars. i'm personally a bigger fan of the Element SC. i can't stand the regular Elements, but the SC is pretty cool b/c of the face lift and all the textured plastic parts from the regular Element are now painted on the SC. unfortunately, i haven't seen a slammed Element yet. i'm sure they're out there though. i was interested in getting an SC to slam, but it costs about $24k starting out. and insurance was gonna be like over $1k every six months. so i got my 06 Tacoma base model regular cab for $12.5k and my insurance is only $575 every six months. and i'm w/ State Farm, so that's pretty cheap. haha, good econo truck. gotta love 'em

I'm sorry to crush your dreams there bigdreams, but the Ridgeline is not a truck. No frame, no separate bed, not a truck. Shoot, you can't even get one in 4wd, just AWD, nor can you get a decent size engine. And the interior isn't great, it feels like a cheap chinese knock off of a Tonka toy. Blah...

in response to 5569, i already have my antenna shaved and the gate shaved. it came w/ some decent looking Enkei 15s. i'm trying to save up some money to get the windows tinted and low as i legally can for my area. i kinda messed up on shaving my gate. i didn't get my filler as straight as i wanted to and the patch that i made for the handle opening is starting to bubble up under the paint and you can see some of the welds. not the bare metal, but just the raised spots where the weld was higher than the rest of the gate. i'd like to fix it sometime soon, but i'm just too tired after working all day
and in response to rngprerunner, i don't care if it's a truck or not. Honda calls it a truck, so that's what i'll call it. they even call the CR-V, Element, and Pilot trucks. i know that none of those are true trucks, but oh well. as far as the interior goes, it is nice. if you like a simple, plain interior. again, there are plenty of nifty storage features. let's not get into the arguement of if it's a truck or not. the Ridgeline wasn't even my true topic here. i was trying to get opinions on the Element SC. i'm looking forward to seeing tricked out SCs on the road and maybe through this thread people will get inspired and go out and get one and do stuff to them. they're by no means a low budget build, but they do have potential

i wish i could load pics of my truck. i use the library computers. i know, i'm poor, it sucks. i'll see if my g/f's computer will take an SD memory card. i'll try my hardest to get pics soon.
btw, for those that haven't seen how well Hondas hold up in wrecks, don't hold judgement on Hondas. the company is doing a lot of things right. Hondas just aren't my style. i like the quality of Toyotas better. i'm so glad i got rid of the piece of junk 2000 Chevy Malibu i was driving around a little over a year ago. the thing i hold against American brands is that they don't typically hold their value. a 2000 Chevy Malibu in great condition is only worth $2k. a 2000 Honda Accord can easily get $6k if it's still in great condition. Honda does have quality and durability
