Welcome to the Construction Zone Forum! This Department, published monthly in the Magazine, features the sickest under construction mini trucks from around the world! We'd like to dedicate this forum to anything Construction Zone related, whether it be ride submissions and submission questions, thoughts about the section, thoughts about the trucks chosen, etc.

post up your pics, or ask questions and we will be checking every day to see which rides might just make the mag

I'm not too sure my truck is considered under 'construction'...
I like to look at it, as more of... under DESTRUCTION! ha

1991 Mitsubishi Mighty Max aka the: "Murder Max"
Start to where it is now:
-Shaved rear end (with big-rig rear LED tails)
-Shaved door handles, antenna, 3rd brake light,
gas door, and a few other things
-Static dropped about 3-4 to 4-6 (with rear air shocks)
-Isuzu Hombre front bumper
-Phantom grill modded to flow w/ bumper
-Saab heated leather bucket seats inside
-Head unit cd/mp3/video screen, etc. Added rear speakers
From there...
A 'bit' more body work!

- removed box, and sectioned over 1ft out of the rear.
Remade box so that it is literally 'square'. (Micro-box)
-Back half'd the frame
-Custom 'V-notches' (for now) to plant the ass end down.
-Cab mods, driveshaft re-alignment, 4-link, etc
-Bagged front and rear with Slam Specialties RE6's and RE7's.
-1/2" 200+psi electric fbss air ride setup on it now.
(Viair 380c, 7-gal air tank, playstation controller, etc)
-Smoked markers / turns / rear LED's
-Relocated gas tank (til' I make the fuel cell)
Hmmm...
What else?! haha
-Lexan rear window w/ frenched plate box
-Primed black (waiting for FLAT black paint when I get time)

There's more, but I'm tired, and dizzy from 'shop-fumes'. ha
Here's a few pics!
Enjoy.

Above is the 'bobbed' box.  Yup, it's small! ha

Back 1/2 taking shape...

Micro box back on...

Decided on doing an 'in-cab' air ride setup.

"All jacked up" haha

"Fade to black"

And the back...

A Bit more paint, a bit more 'smoke'

And it HAULS! haha

Never a dull one! haha

first off love the mag, i just recently picked up my new project, a 2000 quad cab dakota..

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=441282975&albumID=179551&imageID=19383821

its already had some work done, 18" panther rims, front end conversion, and a leer shell, along with a few engine and interior mods....but by looking at the pic.its clear the gap between the fenders and the tires has to go..even with the lowered suspension..i had planned on bags all around, but a concern was brought to my attention..the cold winters of south carolina and air bags dont mix...id still like to run the bags but that question has been haunting me..if anyone has any info, id really appreciate the help..id love to be able to set the truck down at local cruise ins..and still make it over our infamous speed bumps when needed lol..

I am planning to lower my '93 ext cab S-10 and I was wondering what would be the easiest way to drop down 3 inches up front and 4 inches in the back on a $150 budget. I thought about getting new coil springs and blocks, but i am undecided. Any advice?
