Hello fellow ford guys. Newby here with just a few questions. Im calling out to all those who have droped a ranger. Im working on a 2000 Ranger, SOHC 2.5L 4 Cyl, 2WD. I have had the truck for quite a while, but since college was around the corner i havent done much to it. Ive been looking to drop the truck and was wondering what kits you guys like, along with what extra parts would i need, and how hard would it be.?
I would like to drop it 4/5 , but understand that there may be alot to change and money is tight. Im set now on a 2/3 or 3/3 drop. How much works involved, and who makes the best bang for you buck kit?
Sorry for the long story but just getting all i know out there for ya. Thanks for all your help. Jon.

Do you have any fab skills? I know how to get you a lot closer to the ground for about $35 if you can weld

you can chop your lower A-arms 2" and flip the axle using the factory spring perches. All you would have to buy is a little bit of 2" x 1/4" thick flat stock steel for the control arms. I just did a tech article on how to chop the lowers for MT mag but I'm sure you dont want to wait for it to be published, so send me a PM w/ your e-mail address and I will send it to you.
