the wheels and tyres dont suit the era. old skool to me means an image from an era like rat rod and the like.

I thought I saw 1980 and earlier somewhere on this site. But that would split the 79-83. I love my 79 yota and think it is definitly old skool.

thanks str8muzick, I have alot of ideas but I'm torn between all of them. One idea was to just bag it and body drop it to lay flat rocker, and not shave anything to keep the old truck look. The other idea was a 4" chop top, body drop to the doors, and a 2" body section, all aimed at making it lower than the toyota I'm building for my brother. The problem is the cab is 3" shorter (legroom wise) and it would be really crammed. If I go the second route I plan on stretching the cab 4".

Nissan 720s,620s,etc. pre '85 mazdas, couriers, pre '88 isuzus and luvs, pre '87 mitsus, d-50s, and plymouth arrows, vw rabbit trucks, dodge rampages, and pre '84 toyotas are true old school minis. Old school isn't the same as "rat-rodded" out minis because you can take any mini and put steelies amd whitewalls and be a "ratrodded" mini but an old mini is always old school now matter how you build it
