honestly it used to happen to me all the time.. then from being in the scene for so long and people seeing me with my truck, driving my truck, showing my truck.. they finally remembered it was MY truck..
you gotta understand being a woman in the scene takes alot of work and unfortunately you have to earn the respect of the guys in the scene as us women are far and few between.

hey I know that this is girlz only but I am guilty of doing this. I was at a show and saw this Supera that had an awsome air brush job of stars cat heads and stuff. Come to think about it, it was kinda like hello kitty. Anywho, i walked up to the guy running a rag all over the car and asked who did your airbrush work. He promply told me " I dunno, you gotta ask my girlfriend. It's her car." yeah, I felt like an azz, cuz i assumed it was his. Turns out that she chica did her own work.

yeah if you're a girl, peeps assume it's not your truck. Perhaps next time I'll just say, "Nope, not mine. Actually I just stole it." Or, "Actually it's my Grandma's, I'm just borrowing it."

grandma's that is funny because I know a guy who has a blue dime on a 5/6 static and his mother frequently borrows it. i'll drive by waving and it's his mother driving. lol

well you know the best way to NOT get rolled by cops - have mom or dad as a passenger, you won't get rolled. You just won't. It's science.

For some unknown reason it is cool for girls to be around the scene but not build trucks. And I don’t understand why, I guess it is a testosterone thing, or even a guy thing that has been handed down from father to son for the last hundred years. It’s a hard habit to break, and I applaud you ladies for standing up and building your own projects. I hope as an editor of MiniTruckin’ magazine that I get to see all of your rides and spend some time talking to you about them.
See you LADIES at a show soon,
Galen

yeah well this industry is good at tellin' girls they belong sprawled out on the hood of a car instead of under the hood.
