although i have owned several non minitrucks in the past I still consider myself a minitrucker... i.e. '87 Plymouth Horizon on 13's, a '93 Caravan on white 18's with 4-15"s where the back seat used to be, a '89 suburban on 20's, a '78 gran prix on 14" 100 spokes and a static dropped '86 S-10 and a bagged and stockfloored '86 S-15(in progress).I started with an S-10 and worked my way back to an S-15... watcha think bout dat?

tight! yeah I agree that it depends on the builder's lifestyle. As long as it's mini truckin' style, it's coo.

All the vehicles featured are mini truck based. Not sure of the ugly srx but I think is actually car based so NO But the Trailblazer is based off the S-10, the astro is a MINI van. The xterra is also mini truck based. As long as it is done to Mini Truckin's style is OK I have read MT since the beginning and remember that the mini van was a big thing to customize at one time. Ok, so riddle me this. Would or should they feature a custom Chrysler Pacifica? and if Astro vans are featured, what about a caravan? The APC Caravan was sicc... I don't care what anyone has to say about it..

or should Mini Truckin' just stick to Mini Trucks since vehicles outside true mini trucks are kind of a slippery slope? I don't know about you guys, but I'm seeing fewer and fewer minis at shows, so if we could somehow retain a place for MINI TRUCKS, that might be cool too. But then, there are some sick rides that might fall on the boarder of mini truck-able.

Yo I feel ya on that... I do alot of travelin and I'm seein fewer and fewer mini's rollin the highways and biways of the country... and the ones that I do see are stock height rides with every bolt on Lund makes with nary a real body mod besides clear turn signals and tailights... and mayve a cowl induction hood. I've been in 18 states and 2 countries over the course of the last 6 months and man... seems like the roads these days are dominated by donks and ricers... ain't like the 90's when you could hardly drive a mile without some minitrucker makin people break thier necks to get one more glimpse with that "what the hell was that?" look on thier faces...

I have been driving 30 hrs the last 72 hrs and thought about this one alot as i eyeballed every single car and truck for ideas like I do.
OK so "mini"! Are we talking minitrucks here or just "mini" I think were just all scared of the inevitable. A day When you see more crossovers, suvs and mid size trucks than actual "mini"p/u's in your mag.Scary? Yes! Bad ? I dont think so i mean it just makes sense.cheaper automobiles, that can fit alot of people or stuff, and that get good mileage.Cars eh' But wait i remember a tight caprice oh yea and a red crx in the mag on 20's a b/d to the floor with a 350in it now that was tight. If i see more of that i wouldnt mind at all!
Sometimes being called the lowest form of Customs aint all that bad!!

just seems that even if crossovers, suvs and mid size trucks are dominating other markets, why should that necessarily cross over (haha) into an area dedicated to mini trucks.
I think there are still TONS of true minis that deserve attention and haven't gotten it, and as long as mini trucks are still on the road (which I think they will be for a long time), there should be a place for them to be recognized.
I can go both ways on this question - I'm sure we all could.

ok, I must take back a little of what I said the other day about not seeing any mini's on the road. I am in the process of traveling from West Virginia to Louisiana then to Texas, at the moment I am in Morgan City, Louisiana. But over the last 2 days I have seen major mini action in both Tennessee and Southern Louisiana, especially Southern Louisiana. Bagged mini's galore roung here... all makes and models, I'm tellin ya. These ladies and gents are rollin hard... I musta spotted a dozen mini's in Tennesse, a few of them makin moves with the bags, and at least 30 or 40 mini's here in Southern Louisiana and I've only been here since noon and it is now midnight and I'm heading to a city in the morning and outta the marshlands lol... yeah that right they rollin hard in the swamps down hurr

could you see a Saturn in minitruckin? or perhaps, god forbid, a KIA? What about one of those ugly as heck honda elements? those are all considered small SUV's by car and driver... Even the BMW X3 and X5 are considered small and mid-size respectively.. then there are the Infiniti FX35 and FX45... I mean we've seen a Cadillac and then now we have to consider the new Land Rover LR3 and Lincoln MKX Even SAAB Volkswagon and Volvo have Midsize SUV's now... Subaru too... WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?
