This is gonna sound a lil dumb , but , what does it use for springs in the front ? Torsion bars or coil springs ? I don't know datsun/nissans so i was gonna use it for ideas

It uses torsion bars, but even when the torsions are completly out, the truck still wont lay, so I'll have to incorperate somedrop spindles.

Some of the others here have gone through those obstacles and now lay out . on my 93 dime my arms hit the frame before it lays but dropped spindles alone won't let it lay . Try locating some lowered lower arms . ya can get a lot of drop that way .

That isnt the issue tho, the issue is a 2600 series Contitech bag will not fit in any shape or fashion.  And I didnt want to use the weenie 2500 bag cause I wanted alot of lift in front AND back. I just need someone thats done an 82-84 to tell me how they did it. Otherwise Im screwed lol.

slam bags! duh! lol, jk. you could get creative and make a cantilever setup. other than that, youll prolly have to hack, or "negotiate" a space for the bag, just make sure its clean and doesnt effect the structural integrity of the frame, i havent been under a 720 so i dunno what you have to deal with, but chances are you will have to cut the spring cup mostly out and weld in a gusseted bag mount at an angle.

Have you thought of building off the lower arm? you prob could build a locating arm off the front of it,ditch yours ,and mount the bag on it?like this

not min but a fine example

Sometimes being called the lowest form of Customs aint all that bad!!

I'll see what I can do, but the 82 Nissan has a massive, and (when I say massive I mean it)brake assembly. Thats the only thing keeping the mounts from being off the frame and using the lower control arm.

have you though bout cuttn the wheel wells out and using upper arm or turn the torsion bars up and let air out of the bags to lower it back down

cut the chassis where the bag is to be alotted. Set your brackets into place and MAKE them fit. The lower arm you have to make a bracket below the airbag bracket to even it out. Make a hole on the lower arm so that you can put a bolt into the bottom of your bags. I would ask you about brake booster and clutch master problems but you haven't reached there yet.

720s are weird in the front couse youl think u got it just right and then the bag is sittin on something in the front like the castle nut or the frame pinches it in the back or just somthin dumb...get the cups from airbagit. i dont usually buy anything from them but it just makes more since to notch the frame rail and put that under it then anything else.thats what im doin this time around so it better work lol
