On CMT's Trick My Truck and on Pimp My Ride they build what they want with wood frames then stretch and staple fleece over it and apply the fiberglass resin . I don't know if thats the right way , but it is one way . In one of the truck magazines i get they did a how to on fiberglassing a center console , but i can't find/remember which one it was in . I get Truckin , Minitruckin , Street Trucks , and Sport Truck . I'll try to locate it n tell ya which one it was and which month .
Of course i drag my tag .

If your going to fiberglass the dash, first start by sanding with 80 grit sandpaper with a da or by hand. If your not shaving anything, just prep extremely well and spray high build primer. Then just wet sand and paint like normal. If your shaving, just wrap and design with wrapped fleece held in place with staples. Apply at least 2 layers of fiberglass mat or fiberglass cloth for added strength. Then use "Duraglass" for a majority of your body work. after that finish off the body work with "Poly-Flex" which is a flexible body filler that works with plastic. Then use high build primer, wet sand, and paint.

First glue the panel in place with.

Then use flexible body filler for metal to urethane substrates http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=8  If you have a large gap to fill, i would try a product like Dura-glass, or long to short hair fiberglass, followed with polyflex for extra security.

I wanna put two 12 inch sub enclosures in the back of my ext. cab sonoma. I was thinking about removing the fold down seats and putting an enclosure in there. has anyone ever seen or know how I would go about doing this? Also what is the best way to paint the dash and other stock plastic moldings?

With the dash; first use a wax and grease remover or dawn dish soap and scrub the dash really well and all the crevises. Then get a orbital sander or sanding block and sand the entire dash, and clean again. With the cracks in the dash, you'll want to "V" out the crack with a dremel or cutting tool to about 1/4 of an inch. Then mix your quality resin with the hardner and pour into the crack. It's best to have the crack sort of level for this step. Then i use a short strand fiberglass body filler (i like Duraglass, because it hasn't failed me in all eight years i've used it). This step works for all cracks in plastic and urethanes like door panels. For really flexible plastics i like to finish my body work with poly-flex from evercoat. Then use a high build primer, block sand, prep and paint.
