Hey gang, I came across this site when i did a search for ultimate customs, I use to run the website back in the day. The shop closed down and from what i know, all the kits are being manufactured still out of his shop at home. Long story and its a tough business to have in Canada. If we had long summers and more hot rodders here like in the USA I'm sure the shop would have done better,
Drop me aline if you guys are still looking for the kits or any information. I have the website here on CD still. Id be happy to post back any info.
cheers,

Hello, I am so glad that I found you. I have been trying to find a company that makes a motor kit to install a ford 302 in a '92 mazda b2600i 4x4. Do you know if it is possible to do the swap and maintain the 4-wheel drive? I would love any information that you could provide (price, components, typical installation time etc...) Thank you so much for your help. I look forward to hearing from you.
Billy

I have been doing this kind of thing 20 years as for as I know their isn`t kit for what you are doing . I see that you are doing with the body off that well make it easer frst thing is to set the engine where it is to be if it is still to hi and it is siting on the cross member it well to be fabricated so it can clear the engine and gave the frame and the front end and suspension . then you can fabricate your engine trans mounts .You also want too think of the wiring to the ford 302 is not compatible to the mazda.

well as far as i can find there is no kit to put this motor in but its easy enough here is some more pics on the progress i canged motors i went to the 95 50 ho instead of the 89 302 it has a loer intake manifold and lets you clear the hood with no modificationt to the hood its self

If anyone is still checking this thread, I have copleted a 1995 5.0 install into my b2600i 4X4. I chose the 95 because of the electronic trans. I did a 3" body lift and basically mated a mustang and mazda harness together. ( 87-93 is much easier and can be hooked into the truck with 5 wires) I did however take the front diff and axles out (pre-runner style). The original frame horns for the engine mounts were removed and new ones similar to a V8 explorer were fabricated. I used V8 explorer engine mounts, modified the transmission mount and BINGO she went right in !!!!! I did not have to modify the transmission tunnel. I used all the brackets and drive accessories from a V8 Exploder, which provides about a half inch extra clearance. If any one needs more info or pics. Please let me know. BTW my 330,000 mile rear end just failed after 2 yrs behind this combination. I am now installing a rear end out of a 94 Rodeo. Can you say Dana 44?
